Праздник кукольного театра»
Цель: использование знаний по теме «Праздники» на английском языке
в развитии навыков разговорной речи .
Задачи:
Образовательные: повторить
лексику по теме «Праздники», познакомить со стихотворениями и песнями по теме на английском языке.
Развивающие: развивать познавательный интерес, инициативу,
творческие способности учащихся.
Воспитательные : прививать интерес учащихся к изучению английского
языка, развивать умения работать в
коллективе.
Оборудование:
наглядность: плакаты c тезисами и с рисунками по теме;

-Today we have a very funny party. It’s the Puppet’s Party. There is the Day of
Punche’s Birthday in England. It’s
celebrated on 8th May in London. Punch, funny character is
the most popular of marionettes and glove puppets .He is the favourite puppet
in England.
-His character had roots in Italy. The
Italian actors began to travel throughout Europe, bringing with them the puppet
showmen. By 1700 practically every puppet show in England had Punch, and his
wife, Judy. Traveling showmen carried these plays to country festivals in the summer and visited London in August
and September. A lot of puppeteers carried
on the tradition of Punch’s humor. His influence survived in such common
phrases as “pleased as Punch.” Other puppets have developed from the same
origins as Punch, such as Petrushka in Russia.

-What is a puppet? A puppet is an
inanimate object or representational figure animated or manipulated by an
entertainer, who is called a puppeteer. It is used in puppetry, which is a very
ancient form of theatre. Puppetry was practiced in Ancient Greece .The Greek
word translated as "puppet" means «drawn by strings».
-There are many different kinds of puppets,
and they are made of a wide range of materials, depending on their form and
intended use. They can be complex or very simple in their construction.
- The Finger puppet is а simple puppet variant which fits onto a single
finger. Finger puppets have no moving parts, and consist of a cylinder shape to
cover the finger.
-The Sock puppet is a puppet formed from
a sock .We move hand up and down to give
the impression of speaking. Sometimes eyes and other factors are added to the
sock. Sock Puppets are also popular in many puppet plays, as they are simple to
make and easy to use.
-The Hand/Glove Puppet are puppets controlled by one hand .The Punch and
Judy puppets are examples of hand puppets.
-Two-Man Puppet" or a "Live-Hand
Puppet", is a hand puppet but is larger and has two puppeteers. One
puppeteer places a hand inside the puppet's head and operates its head and
mouth .The second puppeteer operates the puppet's arms.

Looked down upon my marionettes
with slumber in their eyes.
Saw them resting, lying still,
their silence no surprise,
Awaiting but my touch to bring
their footsteps to tomorrow,
Wanting for my hands to mold the script they've got to follow.
They had nothing but their costumes, their wood, their strings, the
scene.
And tears fell for these little
folks, these tiny blocks of wood

played but never understood.

And Golly, we loved it, my family, friends and I!

It was pure enchantment, a joy we shan't forget!
